Our project story
We are pleased to announce that Riverwalk staff are raising money to fund a rebound therapy programme to enhance our pupils’ learning allowing them to flourish academically, but physically as well! Rebound Therapy is used to: facilitate movement, promote balance, increase or decrease in muscle tone, relaxation, sensory integration, improve fitness and exercise tolerance and to improve communication skills. For more information please see this informational video: https://vimeo.com/223307242
PLEASE REMEMBER TO GIFT AID!
The staff at Riverwalk are very committed to this cause that they are being extremely brave and jumping out of an aeroplane at UK parachuting Beccles, Suffolk on Saturday 16th June 2018.
They will be doing a tandem parachute jump designed for two people. They will board an aircraft and soar to around 13,000 feet (approximately two miles high!). When it is time to leave the plane, they will fall at about 120 mph, descending to 5,000 feet in around 40 seconds. At this point, the instructor will open the parachute and fly safely back to earth!
